I'm setting up a webserver (on Linode datacenter in London).
Everything is ok but the Virtualmin installation:
The Suexec command on your system is configured to only run scripts under /var/www, but the Virtualmin base directory is /home. CGI and PHP scripts run as domain owners will not be executed.
Here you have a simple solution (but it costs to me a lot of hours....):
- login into the virtualmin user interface;
- click on Virtualmin on the top left
- open "System settings" and then click on "Server Templates";
- click on "Default Settings";
- select "Apache website" on the "Edit template section" combobox;
- switch off the "Automatically add appropriate SuExec directive?" option (set to NO!)
- click on save on the bottom page;
That's all, it worked for me ( Ubuntu 9.04 + Virtualmin 3.76.GPL )
I hope it was useful for you
Filippo
